That Crazy thing called Love.

That Crazy thing called Love.

As we all know, Valentines Day is just around the corner. And well I personally am not a fan of it. Not because I am alone, I have a fabulous husband. Who, incidentally I will not be spending it with; due to 700 odd miles between us. But that really isn’t the point, or why I find V-Day annoying. But again, that is also NOT the point. Haha The point being, I want to share our love story. Which is funny, crazy, and frankly; a mess.

It started with HELLO.
Okay, it started with boredom.

Aaron, and I met at bible college. Indiana Bible College, to be exact. When we met neither of us were interested in the other. In fact he was not even a dot on my radar. But, it all quickly changed second semester. I had been sitting in the SLOB. (student lobby.) I was bored, and had nothing to do. In comes Aaron; push-over Aaron. ;) So I asked him to McDonald's. He will say he asked me, but its simply untrue. So we went, and we talked and talked for hours. I came back to the dorm, and told my friend. I am going to marry him! And I meant it.

Time Marches On.

A month passed, the v-day banquet was coming up, I wanted to ask him, but I had asked a friend from home already. And he also liked another girl. So I said nothing.

Oh, how the Time Flies.

It was two or three weeks later, and we were hanging out. We went to McDonald's. (Yes again, we were poor college students. lol) We were playing on the computer and I decided to change his relationship status on Facebook, but he caught me. Which then brought up the idea we should both change it, but not say with who. Just to mess with everyone, and MAN did they ever! Anyways, after that ee had gone ice skating, and I pulled the best move ever; told him I couldn't ice skate. And it worked, he let me hold on to him all night. Pretty clever of me, huh?

The Clock moves Forward.

The next day, we had tons of likes and comments. People kept coming up to me and making comments about us, and how they all loved it. In my head I was like, if it was true I would love it too. Moving on, that night I was babysitting my cousin, okay he was watching cartoons, I played on Facebook. (Sorry Sarah! lol) My friend was saying how he was glad I told Aaron I liked him, which I had to confess I didn't. Then he decided to challenge me. Which I am sure he had no idea was a challenge. He said, "If you never tell anyone you like them you will never be with anyone." So I did, I wrote this long message to Aaron telling him how I felt. What felt like an eternity later, but was probably only five minutes, he said he felt the same way. Man was that a relief, been a bit awkward if he didn't like me back. lol

Making it Official.

The next day, he picked me up for church. And there was a rose, and a note asking me to be his girlfriend. And obviously I said yes.

Bet you didn't Know.

We were fake dating for two days, but we decided to just pretend that it was real the whole time. It makes me laugh just thinking about it. It came about because of a sill joke.

The Proposal.
He had taken me home to move back in with my mom. We were sitting in the basement watching a moving, when he said 11:11 make a wish. (Which I always do, I always make him make a wish.) I made a wish, then he tried to make me tell him, which I NEVER do! But I made him tell me his. (Unfair, I know.) So he said, "Okay, but I'm going to need you to make it true." Giving him a funny look I said, "Okay." Then he said, "I wished you would marry me." I said, "Is this you asking?" He said, "Actually it is." And he pulled the ring from his pocket. I melted. It was so sweet and just perfect. Again, I said yes.

Wedding Bell's Ringing.

Our wedding was a mess. Seriously! Which I am NOT complaning, I married my best friend. But things kept going wrong. My mom had forgot my shoes, which made me cry. (I love shoes.) My bridesmaids couldn't come because of weather. The airport lost my dads suit, and my grandparents had car problems. All of these things lead to well a very unexpected wedding day. Honestly though, there isn't much else I could tell you about that day except... It started late because I was still doing my hair, the song was way too long. But more importantly, we said I do! <3

Its not about the wedding, its about the Marriage.

Those are wise words from my mother. And its true. I'm not saying we have the best marriage ever. No one does. But we do have a great relationship, but honestly that't because we work at it. All relationships take work, but it takes extra hard work when you have spent half your marriage apart. I wouldn't change a thing though, because when we are finally together again it will be better then if we were never apart. I'm not saying I think everyone's spouse should join the military and have to leave for training. But the saying, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger is true. We are stronger because of it.

Thats how it all started, but its not...

THE END.

Braving the Bradford's.

The Start of It.
The blog at least.

I was sitting at home, doing my usual scroll through Pinterest looking for something to inspire me into getting off my couch and stop watching Grey's Anatomy. I was reading a blog on how to do... Ummm, I think pillowcases. It took my too long to think of a blog name to remember. Haha Anyways, so I was reading the blog, and I couldn’t help but think; I could do that. I should do that!
Which lead me here!

I haven’t done a blog in years.
So bear with me guys!
It’s going to be a bumpy ride!

What's in a name?
A blogger name.

Coming up with a name wasn’t easy.
Okay it really wasn’t hard either. Lol
I only spent about ten minutes when I came up with it.
It’s a very fitting title.
Newly wed, braving the new life.
Newly wed, braving my husband being at training for the army.
And then you have the fact that I am completely me.
I am accident prone, forgetful, ditzy, and completely well me.
Oh and I forgot to add my husband is too.
We are a perfect match.

So here we are...
Braving the Bradford’s.

But what will you say?
Or at least blog.

In deciding what I would write about it was pretty easy.
LIFE!
This beautiful, messy, wonderful thing called life.
So I will post about random events, my children; aka dogs, my hobbies, my obsessions, my thoughts, my feelings, and my husband, all of the things that make my life.

I feel the need to add this quote.
It explains me well…

I don’t like to think before I speak, I like to be as surprised as everyone else by what comes out of my mouth.

If you know me, you know it’s true.
If you don’t know me, you will learn that soon enough. Haha
Ummm...
I guess this is...

THE END.
